Harry Potter To Work Video, DVD Magic

In just slightly more than three months after its release, the Warner Bros. film of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone has grossed more than $926 million worldwide, making it the second highest-grossing film ever. This spring, fans will be able to experience some of that magic when Warner Home Video releases the family classic on DVD and home video.

In addition to a VHS version (MAR023591, SRP: $24.99) of the hit film, a two-disc DVD set is offered in both Pan-&-Scan (MAR023589, SRP: $26.99Ea.) and Widescreen (MAR023590, SRP: $26.99Ea.). The DVD will include numerous special extras, such as: new scenes completed for the home video release; an interactive tour of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry; a visit to the shops of Diagon Alley; a Quidditch lesson; and more.

DVD-ROM features will include: a real-time, personalized tour of Hogwarts; electronic trading cards; Harry Potter computer game demonstrations; personalized "owl e-mails"; assignment to a Hogwarts house by the Sorting Hat; video biographies of the faculty; and downloadable screensavers.

The DVD and video are scheduled to ship in May.
