Man of Action Studios is the bi-coastal production company responsible for such megahits as the Ben 10 empire and Generator Rex on Cartoon Network, Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man for Disney XD, wildly successful video games, toy lines, comic books, graphic novels, stage productions, animation and a slew of upcoming feature films.  They serve as front line creators, producers, writers and artists on many of their projects and are constantly creating more.  A Man of Action is someone who gets things done, this perfectly describes each member of Man of Action Studios.  Much like their super-powered protagonists existing across all platforms, Man of Action Studios is a creative collective that can generate and adapt ideas into the highest-rated television shows and best-selling merchandise in the US and around the world.  Even foreign content creators look to Man of Action to bridge the culture gap in projects, such as SpinMaster’s highly successful Bakugan franchise and Nickelodeon’s forthcoming Monsuno.

Man of Action Studios began in 2000 as a group of four friends from diverse backgrounds:  Duncan Rouleau, Joe Casey, Joe Kelly and Steven T. Seagle, all graphic novelists with a strong appreciation for structure and storytelling, who wanted to do something bigger.  "We created MOA on the concept of strength in numbers, our philosophy is that if one of use wins, all four of us win," says Casey.  "We started Man of Action Studios as writers/artist working on X-Men and Superman, two of the biggest franchises in comics," according to Seagle, "and we decided to shift our focus to creating our own worlds and characters together and make that our full-time gig."  Kelly states, "Man of Action Studios allows us all to do what we love, work with really smart people, enhance our own work and provide a support system."  Rouleau concludes, "We bring our individual viewpoints to each project but everything we work on passes through each Man of Action and our friendship allows for our different aesthetics to still reach a quick consensus." They are The Beatles of boys' action projects, minus the internal strife.

Joe Kelly is the creator of the lauded graphic novel I Kill Giants, which was awarded the 5th annual International Manga Award from Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a rare feat for an American.  His original graphic novel Four Eyes was a YALSA “Great Graphic Novel for Teens” selection. Joe is credited with writing “The best Superman story of all time” in Action Comics #775, which Kelly adapted to a feature animation home video for Warner Brothers released in June, 2012 to great reviews.

Duncan Rouleau’s cutting edge comics art on the Superman and X-Men franchises is cited as an influence by numerous other artists in the industry. As writer and artist, Rouleau created the highly popular Metal Men reboot for DC Comics and his graphic novel, The Nightmarist, sold out its initial print run and is set for a deluxe edition this year. Rouleau’s comic series M Rex was the source material for the Cartoon Network series Generator Rex and his The Great Unknown is being turned into a New Line feature film with Lonely Island's Jorma Taccone directing.

Steven T. Seagle is the seven-time Eisner Award nominee best known for his semi-autobiographical graphic novel it’s a bird… which received rave notices from The New Yorker, Newsday and NPR. He is a two-time GLAAD Media Award nominee for his original series, American Virgin.  Seagle also directs for the live stage on the acclaimed touring comedy N*W*C, the Los Angeles premiere of  Laramie Project: Epilogue and he co-wrote the forthcoming new musical Limbo. Next up? The Red Diary/The Re[a] Diary and the graphic novel for kids, Batula.

Man of Action Studios has already conquered comics, television animation, global merchandising and transmedia and now it's setting its sites firmly on live action television and feature films. Wherever original content moves, Man of Action Studios will be there.
