Dear Sirs,

 

    Free Comic Book Day was a tremendous success for us.  We gave out over 800 free comics to hundreds of fans.  Our one year anniversary coincided with this event so we gave out free hamburgers and hot dogs to all our customers as well.  We had fans from across the ages picking up books.  We had any local talent on hand to do free sketches for fans and a local gamer's guild in store to do demos.

 

    We did a complete media blitz for this day.  I was interviewed for the Springfield Business Journal, Springfield Newsleader, and did a spot on a local TV station (Springfield 33).  We had a live radio remote from Q102 in the store as well. The new Spider-man movie was a great enhancement for us.  We handed out over 300 store fliers to the throngs of Spidey fans attending the movie (our thanks to Dickerson 8 for allowing us to be there on the midnight release).  We had our highest selling day in our stores' history Saturday as well.  All in all a complete success.

 

    I would like to extend our Gratitude to the creators of FCBD.  This is one of the greatest ideas in comic history as far as we are concerned.  The influx of new customers was fantastic.
