We have so many exciting things happening in our store on Free Comic Book Day. We use this day as a Charity Event. We collect canned and dry goods in exchange for our free comic book titles for a local food shelter, Nourishment for the Needy. Alexis Cruz (Stargate, Stargate SG-1, Touched by an Angel, Shark, Go To Hell) will be promoting his new comic book series, The Unprofessionals, a sociopathic bromance. https://www.facebook.com/theunprofessionalsgraphicnovel?fref=ts. He will be available for pictures, autographs and loves to interact with his fans. We will have costumed characters (Pikachu, Charizard, and various Star Wars characters) available to take pictures with our customers. Members of the charity Star Wars costume groups, the 501st and Rebel Legion will be in attendance. At noon we will be having the first ever Pop Culture Trivia Smackdown contest. Winner will receive a free 3 day membership to Space City Con where they will represent our store and compete against other comic book store champions in the Regional Championships. Costume contest all day with prizes for our winners. Jedi Training Academy. Come and learn how to wield a lightsaber. At 5pm we will be having a live scene presentation of the Hobbit by CYT, a local theater group who will be giving away a free pair of tickets sponsored by Space City Con. |
